Today sees a return to normality, I finally seem to be settling back in at home. I scored breakfast in bed but now the dog is in a huff as he automatically assumed the toast was for him - seems to be on hunger strike but it's not going to work on this side of the boarder.
Currently sat behind desk, which magically relocated itself during my absence, in new swivel chair. I'm not currently swivelling sadly as it took some imagination to get it behind the desk. It took even more imagination to get me into it. Getting out may be fun. Later I shall go in search of my art desk (making full use of castors) and swivel there.
Took the Christmas tree down today. I can't help but feel a little cheated as I put it up right before I left for Lancashire so I don't feel I got my mileage out of it this season.
The first class back at the club went well, I thought. For once I managed to nail the timing almost perfectly, which has been evading me for a while. This year sees us delving ever deeper into the harsh reality of practical self defence. I desperately don't want LTMA to become a closed minded school of Ju Jitsu or to become so entrenched in routine that classes become predicable and cease to challenge. I want students to go home feeling that, in some way whether prolific or small, they have broken new ground in advancing their training and understanding.
It's been a fair while since I've been left on my own. Surely the clock was never that loud before?
Swahili: Saa ngapi?
Translation: What time is it?
